This week in our ongoing 100 Days of Mockingjay celebration and countdown to Mockingjay Part 2 we're going to discuss shipping and fan fiction within The Hunger Games Universe. Read Amy's fabulous Shipping 101 post here and "A Celebration of Everlark Fanfiction" here.
Shipping is a huge part of any fandom, and this week you'll have a chance to tell us or show us what pairing is important to you within The Hunger Games. Is Everlark your everything? Are you crazy for Hayffie? This week you can make an edit, take a picture, write something out and just tell us about your OTP and what you love about them. Just use the hashtag #SSTHG across social media this week (and it never hurts to tag us) and we'll post our favorites.
Even if you aren't a shipper, you can enter our weekly giveaway. Posting on social media is NOT required to win, nor is it part of the giveaway. It's just for fun! I grew to like Katniss and Peeta, but I will still always love Madge/Katniss! It seemed mostly one-sided on Madge's part at fist, with her giving Katniss the pin and kissing her on the cheek before Katniss' first games. Katniss didn't even know for sure that they were friends before that. But after her first games, it seems like they spent quite a bit of time together :)

1) peeta has loved katniss ever since he was a little boy.
2) Katniss might of acted to love peeta but at the end she did everything to get peeta back, her star crossed lover.

Shipped EverLark and Hayffie since day 1, aside from the undeniable chemistry between Peeta and Katniss, i love how effie and haymitch would bicker like teenage couples. i've been an avid fan of this trilogy before it was really popular. I was one of the few people who bought the trilogy paperback and read and re-read them wholeheartedly. Hoping to take home a piece of Hunger Games with me through this giveaway. My ship is always with Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark. They fight a battle with in a battle. Katniss did not understand she loved him and he fought to gain her love. They could not be together in the start and now they can't be together because of what Snow did. I hope they come together at least once in the end. My heart is with them.
