This week in our ongoing 100 Days of Mockingjay celebration and countdown to Mockingjay Part 2 we're going to discuss shipping and fan fiction within The Hunger Games Universe. Read Amy's fabulous Shipping 101 post here and "A Celebration of Everlark Fanfiction" here.
Shipping is a huge part of any fandom, and this week you'll have a chance to tell us or show us what pairing is important to you within The Hunger Games. Is Everlark your everything? Are you crazy for Hayffie? This week you can make an edit, take a picture, write something out and just tell us about your OTP and what you love about them. Just use the hashtag #SSTHG across social media this week (and it never hurts to tag us) and we'll post our favorites.

Everlark all the way!!
My first OTP from the series is definitely Everlark. I love the way they interact to each other. And my second OTP is Hayffie. I never knew that I would ship them when reading the whole series and I also didn't expect it to be a thing. I was really happy when Francis Lawrence decided to keep Effie in Mockingjay to take the role of Fulvia because I love her so much (and Haymitch) and it means we get to see more of their relationship in the movie.

Finnick and Annie are my OTP of the series, they've been through a lot and I can't wait for their wedding in Part 2
Everlark will always be my OTP, with Hayffie coming a very close second- I'd love some extra scenes with them :)
I tell ya, I've taken up residence aboard the S.S. Hayffie. They've become the ultimate OTP of my life. I also love Everlark & Annick/Odesta, and could possibly do Goanna or Gressida if Part 2 provides sufficient suggestion of either (otherwise--good luck in D2, Gale!)
I've been shipping since I was a little kid watching Pokemon and wanting Jessie & James to hook the heck up already, before I knew the term for what I was doing. There are lots of fantastic pairings that I ship hardcore, but this is really in a class all its own. Because just...wow. I've never been so overcome, so engrossed, so invested in something like this...I've never literally sobbed over the feelings, thoughts, pics, and stories generated by the couple and their story.
It's deeply moving. They're infinitely fascinating, rich, complex, unique people with ever so much depth and potential--yet too easily overlooked by many. Haymitch & Effie both jumped out at me immediately as favorites, and I'm certain that I would still have shipped them right away if I'd read the books before seeing the first two films, because that tantalizing something between them is present in both forms. Because the Mockingjay text was so sparsely detailed in its last 1/4 or so, especially, and told me essentially nothing about them beyond Haymitch's geese, I'm thrilled that the movies have begun to elaborate, and to add on material for ships other than Everlark & Everthorne. Since becoming a diehard fan this past February (what a latecomer! I know), I've barely been able to think about anything else. Everything comes back to THG--and them in particular. They just give me so much to ponder, analyze, headcanonize, and dream of...I find the pair endlessly compelling. Neither is what s/he appears to be, and watching how they grow and evolve and change while realizing how much there is to them is mesmerizing. They're so different and from such different backgrounds, but nonetheless such a perfect match...complementing and completing each other much like Everlark, but in basically an inverse way. They're the other half of the team, which is something like a little yin-yang (Katniss/Haymitch & Peeta/Effie being similar to one another.) But these two absolutely need and deserve to be together at last. ;w; True love. Soulmates. Imzadi. Fated. Destined. Kismet. Intended. Meant to be. Okay, I guess I'll shaddap now.
I started being a fan of The Hunger Games Series when I first watched the The Hunger Games movie in the late of April 2013. I fell in love with it after I finished watching it and I also read the series, making me a Tribute. As a tribute, I also started shipping EverLark. They drive me nuts every time I watch the 3 movies and re-reading the books, especially the last chapter and the epilogue of Mockingjay. I just watched the Catching Fire 4 days ago, remember the beach scene where Peeta said "Nobody needs me." and Katniss replied, "I do. I need you.", it made me cry, and it still does. Why? Because I feel like they just fit to each other. They inspire me. Sometimes I just hope that someday, I will find the Peeta Mellark of my life. - Lielane Varela, PHILIPPINES

Everlark is my OPT
My favorite ships are Everlark and Hayffie for sure. I love Katniss and Peeta because even though she doesn't know it from the start, I feel their love was always meant to be. Peeta is just a beautiful man with a beautiful heart that Katniss finally sees too. I think she realized that the day of the reaping but took some time to really see that. ❤️❤️❤️

Hayffie and Everlark. I would love Haymitch and Effie together, but my heart will ALWAYS be with Peeta and Katniss. I like their relationship cause it´s so real. They show love it´s not easy. I cried more when Peeta was taken by the Capitol than with all the deaths of Mockingjay!
