The Hunger Games Fan Made Music, Movies & More

100 Days of Mockingjay Week 6

We're entering the SIXTH week of our 100 Days of Mockingjay celebration. It has been so much fun to focus on different segments of this incredible fandom each week, to hear your stories, and to understand what The Hunger Games means to you guys. This week we're going to focus on more of your fan-made creations, namely fan music, fan films, and audio dramas.

Did you know there's a group of super-passionate fans who adapted all 3 Hunger Games books into audio dramas? If you haven't discovered The Katniss Chronicles yet, you're in for a treat.

Have you ever heard any fan made Hunger Games music? One tribute wrote gorgeous scores for all three books before the films came out. We'll introduce you to his music plus some of the other amazing fan made Hunger Games music and covers you may have missed.

Did you realize how many fan made Hunger Games short films are out there? We'll spotlight some of our favorites.

There are also some crazy talented amateur film editors in the fandom. As soon as a new trailer appears, one of you has re-edited it into something often more powerful than the original content.  We'll highlight some of those this week as well.

As usual, with a new theme for the week comes a new giveaway. This week one winner will receive:

1 Limited Edition Skullcandy Mockingjay headset

1 Black Mockingjay pin

Enter the giveaway through the widget below. This giveaway runs from Wed, Sept 16 - Tues, Sept 22nd at 8pmET. The giveaway is open to international tributes.

I have listened to all of the soundtracks and I love them all but the one that really hits me is "Safe and Sound". Every time I listened to it, it gives me goose bumps. Maybe it is because of the lyrics that really gave meaning to it and the melody is just an additional. Well every time I sing this I am always like, hands in my heart, closed eyes and try to imitate Taylor's voice. XD Okay.. my entry is nonsense but really I do choose Safe and Sound because most likely it represents all of the three books. That would be all. Thank you!! :)

my favourite is definitely The Fog because it really captures the intensity and tension during that scene and how they're struggling to run away from it and the part where Mags sacrifices herself can be heard very clearly in the song and i think it's really impactful

Eyes open & Safe and Sound were my two favorites from the first film, Atlas & Silhouettes from the second film, and yellow flicker beat from the third.
I honestly adored all of the songs from The Catching Fire soundtrack, they all tied in with the movie & I like that. But with the Mockingjay Part 1 soundtrack, things went a little down hill. I didn't really enjoy that album, I honestly think that it really didn't tie in with the movie & some of the songs didn't relate to it at all.

Well, I like most of the songs of all The Hunger Games movies soundtracks, but I think Everybody wants to rule the world by Lorde has that effect, and even if it's a cover, they have given it that thing that fully conveys the feeling of the Games, the feeling of struggle...I can't explain it but it's the perfect song for a perfect soundtrack.
I also like Safe and Sound. It's a song that makes you cry but it has that touch of innocence, just like Prim is. I don't know, I just love them. And thanks Panem Propaganda for doing these giveaways, you're awesome.
